Where to get married
These days, couples
are becoming more and more adventurous in their
choices of wedding location. If you don’t
want to be married in church, more and more places
around the UK are becoming licensed for weddings
and your options are expanding all the time. If
you do want to be married in church, you don’t
necessarily have to use your own church. The important
thing is to book early! You can also go abroad
to get married: a whole world of exciting locations
is open to you for your wedding.
UK wedding
There are lots of
interesting places to have a wedding that’s
a bit different from your friends’. For
example, you could get married:
- at the zoo
- at a castle
- at a stately home
- in a theatre complex
- on a boat or ship
Wedding abroad
Another popular
idea is to get married abroad. There are limitless
delightful places for a wedding overseas, both
traditionally in church and more modernly somewhere
exotic such as on the beach.
Depending on your
budget – and that of your prospective guests
– you can have your wedding in America,
the Caribbean, Thailand, South Africa, the Seychelles…
Closer to home, Italy
is a romantic destination, Malta is very beautiful
too and many celebrities have gone to Gibraltar
to get married.
